After e-ticket issue, the system will automatically send an itinerary receipt to your email address including your e-ticket number which you can use for check-in on the internet, if available. Not all airlines have an internet check-in possibility. Please check 'Online inchecken' under Travel Tools for airlines with online check-in. The official ticket fare on this receipt is not necessarily the same as on this confirmation and on your invoice. It is recommended to carry this email or the itinerary receipt when checking in at the airport-counter.
- An explanation of the itinerary and its different sections can be found here (available in English and Dutch).
- Schiphol: your check-in procedure must have been completed: 60 minutes before departure for European flights and 120 minutes for Intercontinental flights. For flights to USA and Israel it's 180 minutes. We recommend web check in. Click here for airlines with web online check-in
- All fares, taxes and surcharges are subject to change without notice prior to ticket issuance. Schedules/seat reservations as shown on this confirmation are subject to alterations as operational changes made by the airlines may occur. Check your reservations here
- Travelers carrying tickets with fictitious coupons (flight coupons issued without intention to be used) or using coupons out of sequence may encounter one or some of the following disruptions:
1. Denied boarding 2. Denied access to country (i.e. USA) 3. Canceling of reservation 4. Demand to supply additional payment 5. Invoicing after trip with additional payment up to correct fare plus penalty (non limitative enumeration).
- Minimum connecting times as guaranteed by the reservations system may be invalid if passenger travels on separate tickets; connecting flights are then at passenger’s own risk.
-
- The obligation to hold valid travel documents such as passport, (international) driving license, visa, health certificates etc. is entirely the client's / traveler’s responsibility. Some countries may also require passports to be valid for up to 6 months after the intended stay in that country. If you have any doubts about any of these requirements, please contact one of our consultants. (An international driving permit (IDP) is mandatory (or at least advisable) in most countries outside of the European Economical Area (EU + Norway, Switzerland, Iceland, Liechtenstein). IDP is nothing more than an official translation of a national driving license and has a validity of only one year. IDP in the Netherlands can be purchased at ANWB offices). (The website www.lcr.nl has more information on countries where vaccinations are obligated).
- First and last name in reservation should be identical to passport. For married women travelers it is advised to use maiden name.
- Entering the USA: US Customs require full details of first night address in USA. Incomplete info may result in refusal to enter USA. Do not lock bags. Customs are authorized to inspect all luggage without any liability to damages. More info at: www.tsa.gov/public
- New carry–on luggage rules in the EU as per November 6th, 2006. Liquids in carry–on luggage are now restricted articles. For further information see www.bcdtravel.nl/handbagage
- Carry - on luggage regulations in the UK
From 7 January 2008 passengers are allowed to take up to a maximum of two pieces of carry-on luggage into the cabin when departing from or transiting through an airport in the UK (up from a single piece). But although most airlines operating from most major UK airports (including Heathrow, Stansted, London City, Birmingham, Manchester, Aberdeen, Benbecula, Cambridge, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Inverness, Islay, Kirkwall, Newcastle, Plymouth, Prestwick, Southampton, Southend, Stornoway, Sumburgh and Wick) now allow passengers to take up to a maximum of two items on board, several others such as easyJet, Ryanair and all Star Alliance carriers (for economy passengers only), do stick to one piece only. Other airports that stick to one piece only are a.o. East Midlands, Liverpool, Leeds and Luton while Gatwick is also retaining the one-bag restriction, except for passengers connecting through the airport’s South Terminal (and North Terminal connections from February 11).
- Your frequent flyer membership number(s) has been communicated to the airline(s) concerned in your itinerary. However, earning points or miles on Frequent Flyer cards is passenger’s own responsibility. Smoothening this process, it is advisable that name on card is exactly equal to name in ticket including slash excluding spaces.
- Within Europe KLM's booking classes C, J and Z refer to Select class. This is not business class.
In case Air France is operating carrier, passengers with a KLM Z class booking will be accommodated in Air France's Tempo Challenge economy class.
- In addition we can arrange other travel related services such as: Car rental, hotels, trains, ferry crossing, taxi's etc. Please feel free to contact us might any of these additional services be required.
